The Summer
Camp is open to all children between the ages of 2 to 9 years that may
or may not be currently enrolled at MCDB. The following weekly camp themes
are for children 5 years old and above; the camp themes for younger children
will change on a semi-monthly or monthly basis.
Children that sign a 12 month contract for school year 2009-2010 will
automatically be enrolled in all the summer camps with no additional
fee. Please note that the school will be closed for students from June
22nd - 26th to prepare for the summer camps, and for the week of August
24th to prepare for the new school year.
The weekly camp fees for children not enrolled in a 12 month contract
are as follows:
Pre-Primary (2 to 3 years)
8:30am - 11:30am - $250/week ($200 for the week of June 29-July 2)
8:30am - 2:45pm - $350/week
8:30am - 4:45pm - $550/week
You can choose to enroll for the months of July and August only at a
rate of $1,400 per month for 8:30am to 4:45pm.
Primary (3 to 9 years) - Must be potty-trained
8:30am - 11:30am - $200/week ($160 for the week of June 29 - July 2)
8:30am - 2:45pm - $300/week
8:30am - 6pm - $500/week
You can choose to enroll for the months of July and August only at a
rate of $1,200 per month for 8:30am to 6pm.
Summer Camp Themes
Fun-filled activities related to summer travel will be introduced in
the month of July with cooking projects on a weekly basis. Nature and
Healthy living will be the themes for August. Children will go on nature
walks to see the different types of plants, insects, and birds that are
out during the summer months.

campfire songs July 6th - July 10th - Summer Travel - Amusement Parks and Beach
o Beach - Have a beach day on the playground,

July 13th - July 17th- Summer Travel - National Parks and State Parks
o United States Geography and Overview of National
Parks and State Parks.
Discuss some famous
and local National Parks like:
o Shenandoah National Park and Great Falls National
Park (Virginia)
o Grand Canyon (Arizona)
o Volcanoes National Park (Hawaii)
o Glacier National Park (Alaska)
